JOURNAL CHECKLIST COMPLIANCE POLICY

The IJTPE Journal Checklist is a core part of the journal’s editorial and quality assurance framework. It is designed to ensure that all submitted and published manuscripts meet high standards in:

- Scientific quality and originality

- Engineering relevance and technical rigor

- Ethical integrity and responsible research practices

- International academic standards and publication norms

The checklist serves as a mandatory review evaluation tool, applied consistently to all submissions prior/during the editorial consideration and peer review. Authors are expected to carefully review and fully comply with all checklist requirements before/during submission. Its implementation supports:

- Fair and transparent editorial decision-making

- Consistency in publication quality across all issues

- Alignment with international indexing and academic evaluation criteria

- Efficient use of peer review resources

Compliance with the Journal Checklist is therefore a essential for manuscript processing and review processing, which the editorial team and the authors bear full responsibility for ensuring that the submissions meet all required standards in terms of content, structure, formatting, and academic quality.

By submitting the manuscripts to IJTPE, authors and the editorial team acknowledge the importance of these requirements and are committed to carefully ensuring that they are fully met. This checklist plays a key role in maintaining the journal’s integrity, reputation, and international standing.

1. Initial and Ongoing Review Screening

All submissions are carefully evaluated at the initial stage and throughout the review process using the IJTPE Journal Checklist. Manuscripts that do not fully comply with these requirements may be:

- Returned to the authors for revision prior or during the peer review process

- Rejected without entering or during continuing the peer review process

This policy helps ensure:

- Consistency in editorial standards

- Efficient use of peer review resources

- Fair and transparent evaluation of all submissions

2. Mandatory Checklist Criteria

Authors are expected to carefully review and fully comply with the following requirements before submission:

2.1. International Collaboration and Distribution

- Multi-country (international) and multi-institution authorship are strongly encouraged.

- A wide geographic distribution of submitted articles and authorship is strongly encouraged.

- Such collaboration enhances scientific diversity, global visibility, and indexing strength.

While not strictly mandatory in all cases, the absence of international collaboration and distribution may influence editorial evaluation under selection criteria.

2.2. Scope and Engineering Relevance

- Manuscripts must fall strictly within core engineering disciplines.

- Acceptable contributions include:

o Theoretical engineering models

o Experimental studies

o Applied engineering systems with clear technical contributions

Papers primarily focused on management, education, or non-engineering topics will not be considered.

2.3. Citation Practice and Academic Integrity

Authors must ensure balanced, relevant, and scientifically justified references

The following practices are not acceptable:

- Excessive self-citation

- Over-reliance on a single author or research group

- Use of non-scientific or weak sources (e.g., manuals, internal reports, unverified web content)

Proper citation practices are essential to maintaining academic credibility and ethical publishing standards.

2.4. Reference Quality and Formatting

All references must:

- Strictly follow the IJTPE reference format

- Follow a single (IJTPE), consistent citation style (e.g., avoid mixing numbered and author–year formats)

- Be properly cited within the text and included in the reference list

- Avoid mixing citation styles (e.g., numbered and author-year formats)

- Be complete, accurate, and consistently structured

The following are not permitted:

- Mixing citation styles

- Including links, URLs, or informal formats

- Incomplete or unclear references

Non-compliant manuscripts will be returned for correction before/during the peer review process.

2.5. Quality and Editorial Standards

Submissions must demonstrate high standards in:

- Scientific originality and contribution

- Engineering depth and technical rigor

- Clarity of figures, tables, and equations

- Logical structure and academic writing

- Professional (near-perfect) English language

Manuscripts with weak language, poor structure, or overly descriptive/report-style content may be rejected before/during the peer review process.

3. Editorial Selection Policy

In addition to checklist compliance, manuscripts are evaluated based on:

- Scientific merit and novelty

- Engineering relevance

- Formatting and ethical compliance

- Diversity of authorship, institutions, and geographic representation

To ensure fairness and balanced publication:

- Each author/co-author is subject to a maximum number of publications per year in the IJTPE Journal.

- Submissions must not result in over-concentration of authorship.

Only manuscripts that meet all editorial and ethical criteria will proceed to publication.

4. Authorship and Editorial Independence

IJTPE is committed to maintaining fairness, transparency, and editorial independence.

4.1. Editorial Independence

For submissions involving editorial board members:

- Independent editors are assigned.

- A double-blind peer review process is enforced.

- Authors are not involved in editorial decisions.

4.2. Authorship Balance

- Editorial board members are subject to publication limits.

- The IJTPE Journal avoids disproportionate representation of any individual or group.

5. Decision Policy Based on Checklist

Based on checklist evaluation, manuscripts may be categorized as:

- Ö Acceptable for the Peer Review Process

- ! Major Revision Required Before/During the Peer Review Process

- x Rejected (Non-compliance with Checklist)

The manuscripts cannot proceed to peer review process unless all checklist requirements are satisfied and continued.

6. Editorial and Authors Responsibilities

By submitting the manuscripts to IJTPE, the editors and authors confirm that:

- The manuscripts comply with all checklist requirements and IJTPE Journal scopes

- Formatting and references follow IJTPE standards

- The works meet academic, ethical, and scientific expectations

Failure to comply may result in:

- Return of the manuscripts

- Rejection before/during the peer review process

- Delays in editorial processing

7. Final Statement

The IJTPE Journal Checklist is essential to maintaining the quality, consistency, and integrity of IJTPE publications. Editors and authors share responsibility for ensuring that all requirements are fully met.

By submitting to IJTPE Journal, authors acknowledge the importance of these standards and commit to complying with them. This checklist plays a vital role in preserving the IJTPE Journal’s scientific quality, international reputation, and credibility.
